Tywllah J. Schauer: I was born in Goodland Indiana, in 1936. I'm an only child, so I'm spoiled...or so my husband says. I attended many schools in Indiana, and took some college courses there also. I studied Reflexology and became certified in 1982 and also am Professional Clown. I was active in school choir, a member of a Quartet, and Band. I played Tuba, Drums, Bass Drum, Cymbals, and won a State Nisbova Contest with a Tuba Solo, all this and I can't read a note of music! I married Bob, at the tender age of 18. This May we will be celebrating Fifty Two years of marrige. We have four children: Trina, TX, Rob, AR, Richard, IN, and Tana, in MO. We've been blessed with 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
I've worked many jobs, over the years, and wore many hats as, a waitress, shoe sales person, Sarah Coventry Dealer, Tupperware Dealer, Telephone Operator, School Aide, Masonic Home Hospital, and church Secretary.
I sang Bass in the Sweet Adelines, and the Heart of the Hills Barber Shop Chorus, and was a member of a State wide Senior Citizen Group who sang 30,s 40's & 50's music, and last but not least, director of a group of 25 people who sang accapella at nursing homes, hospitals, and even sang for the Indiana Governor.
Bob worked for the Telephone CO. for forty years and around 1992, we retired to Bull Shoals AR. Our plan was to see if we liked the area....now some 16 years later we're still here, and loving it.
In 2004 I brought my Mom Helen to the Monday Night Jamboree. Bobby Smith invited me to join them on stage, (Thanks Bobby) and I've been playing ever since. I play the metal spoons, cherry wood spoons, castanets, tamborine, triangle, washboard, thumb drum, juice harp, and rang the cow bell when someone's finished with their song. I also sang, and try to have a short Ditty each week. (I love to hear the laughter) Much thanks to Bob Burazin, for practicing my songs with me. It's very helpful, and I appreciate it.
God Bless you all for coming and listening to us each week. When Bobby ask me to write this...I wasn't so sure...but will you look at this! I just "Sat Right Down, and Wrote Myself a Letter!" ~Tywllah Tywllah is such a FUN addition to our Monday nights. She puts her heart & soul into everything she's does, and she holds a special place in our hearts. ~ Bobby |
