Leon Kaminski I was born in Chicago, and moved to Wisconsin at an early age. We lived in the Hatley, Eland, and Wittenberg areas until I graduated from high school.
I spent some time traveling on the road as a portrait photographer in the early 1960's. It was there, I met my wife, Carol. We were married in 1964.
I started working at the post office in St.Paul, Minnesota and continued to work for the postal service for the next 33 years. I finally retiring as a postmaster in Marble, Minnesota.
Carol & I raised two children and have two grandsons. I spent my leisure time doing some wood working; including remodeling one of our homes, and building garages on two other homes.
I enjoyed fishing on the many lakes in Minnesota, made a couple of fishing trips up into Ontario, Canada, and even participated in a Pro - Am Walleye Tournament in Bay City Michigan as an amateur. All of my life, I have loved "country music",especially classic country. We made several trips to Branson and Nashville in the 80's and 90's. Eventually, when I retired in 1996 we decided to relocate from Minnesota and ended up in the Flippin area.
Shortly after moving, we found there were many opportunities to listen and play music. One of the first ones I became involved in was Ozark Music Center, in 1999.
In 2007 I became involved in the Bull Shoals Monday Night Jamboree, and we also enjoy the many activities at the theater. In spite of my "limited vision" as a result of macular degeneration, I am grateful for the many opportunities to listen and play music. ~Leon |
